Lets be fair, we love our #TanningThursdays, in a recent study carried out by Ireland’s favourite tanning brand Cocoa Brown, it was discovered that a whopping 95% of women wear fake tan throughout the winter months, many of these women admit that they use it as a confidence booster!
In the same poll by the brand it was found that 71.3% of Irish women prefer a head to toe glow whereas, 25% of women admit to just tanning specific parts of their body, such as arms and legs, while 5.7% of women admit to just tanning their ankles (we all love our cropped jeans sure!)
Cocoa Brown Founder, CEO and tanning expert Marissa Carter believes tan is the perfect winter pick me up: “In the winter you need that extra bit of life in your skin. We need a little bit of an extra glow because we’re not getting an ounce of sunshine here in Ireland. I think tan is a real pick me up for people–it gives you that little boost.”

2) “Apply a coat of clear nail polish to nails so tan doesn’t stain your nails.”
3) “Place a small amount of petroleum jelly through eyebrows to prevent tan clinging to hairs. If you have dark circles around your eyes, a little bit of petroleum jelly will stop the tan from further darkening the area.”
4) “On the day you are applying your tan don’t wear any lotions, potions or deodorants as these can interfere with tan.”
5) “ALWAYS use a tanning mitt to apply false tan.”
